The Ocean Tribe Windsurfing Center is based in Alghero at the "LA MARIPOSA" camping site, situated in the center of the wonderful Riviera del Corallo, between the beautiful and well equipped Lido beach and the pine woods of Maria Pia.
The surf center overlooks the bay of the Alghero Lido, and is ideal not only for beginners, but also for those who want to perfect their skills.
The fine white sand beach, and the presence of the breakwater in the sea, make it a perfect place for  children courses, where they can learn with maximum safety.
If you just want to rent the equipment then Ocean Tribe will be happy to help and also have kayaks and mountain bikes available for rental.

Mountain bike Porto Conte - Alghero Print E-mail

Alghero Awaits you!!! For the pleasure of the cyclist, from the hardy free-riders to the rookie, from the plain outdoors lover to the enthusiast we have created Mountain Bike Porto Conte. Active since 2003, it’s manned by SIMB instructors and competent local guides who can take you along trails of breathtaking sceneries. We can also offer the rental of 50cc and 125cc scooters. Alghero town (SS) and surrounding area really is a cyclist’s paradise! Not only it offers the most beautifully mild climate almost all year round, ideal for cycling, but demanding climbs are far and few between. The itineraries that we suggest go from visit to maritime woodland (pinete) and rocky inlets and beaches, to spectacular views from Mount Timidone (361 m.) seated in the protected area of “Arca di Noè” (“Noah’s Ark”). From here the panoramic view can offer sights of tall cliffs, beaches, woodlands and, in the distance Alghero and its neighbourhood. The Palmavera tour also allows a visit the archaeological sight by the same name (dated between the XV and VIII century A.D.) and dotted along the trail various World War II structures can be seen. Following the woodland route, along the beaches of Le Bombarde and Lazzaretto, one can arrive at Punta Giglio. Upon this beautifull cliff (about 90 m. above sea level) the most important wartime site of the region can be found composed of various bunkers, munitions stores and antiaircraft positions. A completely different type of route is the one offered by the Baratz, Porto Ferro and Porticciolo outgoing. It’s a long on-road journey, but the pleasure comes from the variety of scenery that is displayed; from the woodlands around the Lake of Baratz (only natural lake on the island) to the almost lunar landscape of Porticciolo (which can prove to be a fun ride for the soft free-riding lover). In this area some of the ancient looout towers, with feature along Sardinian coastline (dating back to Byzantine times) can be admired.
